Ha Long Bay is listed on the Unesco World Heritage list and if in Vietnam it is worth a visit. However, as in my previous post you might want to lower your expectations on the tour or see to it that you arrange something different. It is possible to see Ha Long Bay from the sky so renting an airplane would be an option and I also think you’d probably be better off doing one night on all boat and one night at Cat Island.

Thank God for the local supermatket. Considering all the mistakes of the tour we needed wine and it was very expensive on the boat. Do bear in mind though that the boat will charge a service fee if you bring your own beverage (water excluded) but it’s still cheaper to buy wine elsewhere.
