For the first time, I’ve tried an AirBnB and was positively surprised. While in Byron Bay I stayed at a place called Byron Tree Top and my host Jeanine had a lovely room ready for me in here basement. Well, the basement sounds worse than it is because it was more the lower level of her house with a balcony covering the whole side of the house. She rented out three rooms with a bathroom, a kitchenette and a living room to share. Everything was very fresh and nicely prepared.
Since it was Easter and the Blues Festival the prices were still very high and I paid 998 SEK per night which is too much according to me. You can normally get a hotel for that price including breakfast and cleaning. But compared to the option I would have paid more than double staying somewhere else why it was the best option for me. And normally you pay around 650 SEK per night which is more reasonable.
